Hey guys, thought I'd make a post that I usually make on servers that are starting off, and I figured I'd make one here as well. Please read!

Well, let's start off about me. My name is sammyman1123 and I have been playing on the server for about a week. I have played Minecraft for a long time now, in fact, almost 4 years. I have lots of experience with the creation of servers, because I have been a staff member on 4 servers and an admin on 1. Whenever I am involved in the process of building up a new server, I make posts like these, saying what needs to change in order to help the server be the best it can. After logging quite a few hours on the server, I have quite a good idea about what needs to change and what needs to stay on this server to keep it the best. Before I start, I would like to mention that this is all my opinion. You may agree or disagree, but if you do, please do so nicely. I am here trying to do a good service to the server through my eyes. So, without further adieu, I'll go ahead and jump into this.

Throughout my experience on the server, I have noticed that many of the things are handmade. By this, I mean the plugins, the buildings, the mines, and the concepts. The developers, builders, staff members, and owners have done an outstanding job of making this server original and not your usual "copycat" sort of deal. The buildings on the server, including spawn, the mines, and the mini-games are from what I can tell fully original and very well done. The plugins aren't quite perfect, but the fact that 95% of them are custom, gets them a high score with me. I expect the bugs to be rolled out by this server's awesome developers. Also, the concepts of the server are mostly original and are well thought out, especially the very fun mini-games. Though originality is a big deal, there is still more to it. Throughout this post I am going to be concerning prison, and in the future, when more mini-games come out I may make a post dedicated to them. But for now, let's talk about the prison server.

Ranks:

The rank system on prison is fairly reasonable as far as I've gotten, at least. The prices are almost perfect, until you get to N. By this, I mean that going from a $5.5 million rankup to a $18 million rankup. It seems like a gap needs to be filled there. I have access to the donator mine and it is still taking forever to get from N to O. I couldn't imagine going from N to O with default tools and the N mine! I say either upgrade the mine or lower the price. Other than that gap, I think it is well put together and the mines seem to be pretty sufficient.

Donating:

Donating is well put together as well, but it does have one major loophole. Most of this I have experienced first hand because I am an Obsidian VIP. I'm not a fan of the fact that there is only one donator mine. In my opinion, there needs to be one per donation rank. Why? Because the person who supports the server with $100 should not get the same mine as someone who has donated $10. I hope you understand what I mean here, because I just think it is a bit annoying having to mine with donators in the same mine of the same quality who paid for a tenth of what you paid. Understand, I am not degrading anyone, rather stating what should be done to make the experience for donators better. Because, after all, they are the ones that donate their money to keep the server going. Also, I think the resource mine should only be available to a certain rank or above. Finally, the charge for the monthly donation ranks needs to go up or have them totally removed in my opinion. I think Obsidian should be $25 or $30 and Emerald should be $15 or $20 per month. This is due to the fact that many people will probably leave before the full payment for the rank has been paid off. I have never stayed on a single prison server for more than 10 months which is how long it would take someone to fully pay off the worth of the rank. I would not mind paying the extra money knowing that everyone on the server won't be getting Emerald or Obsidian VIP. However, where the kit perks stand, they are in good shape.

PVP: I have really enjoyed the PVP that I have done so far on the server. It has been pretty fun, but one minor change could make it a lot better, I think. Some people may see where this ARROW is pointing. That's right, BOWS! Bows would make an awesome addition to PVP. I think they should be included in the starter kit and upgraded ones in the donator kits. I feel like it would add a nice touch to PVP, especially for those who can land shots really well.

Things that should be added:

More commands for donators and defaults: I have played on well over 30 prison servers throughout my time on Minecraft and I think something that we could bring over to this one is the ability for donators to have some special commands. These could also be available to defaults via a special section in the shop. Some that could be considered including are: /pv # (more amounts of pvs for higher donators) /invsee (allows donators to see into the inventories of others) /nick (allows donators to change what their name looks like in game) /wb (allows donators to get a crafting bench wherever they may be) /hat (takes the item from the players hand and places it on their head) /ptime (changes what time of day it looks like from the client of the donator) /fly (plots only, allows the player to fly around. Like I said, this is just an idea, and if implemented, I think it would enhance the server a bit.

Well, this about sums up what I think should change about the server to make it the best it can be!
